Light behind the room…

Looking up always requires trust in either my luck in stepping safely and freely or my sensory perceptions are heightened to a point of acute awareness.

If I am looking up into muted light, I will loose track of my shadow and become closer to the light—another reason to look up when I pray, so the shadows will not interfere with my prayers….

I have decided my prayers cannot be shadowed. Although I may speak to shadows in a prayer, the landing point of all of my prayers is on light filled plateaus I have either reached or aspire to reach.

On most days I speak and interact with many, but today I relished in the fact that I spoke with only my wife, and my innerselves. Somewhere in that matrix is the umbrella of prayer:

I look up, when I pray, to acknowledge our higher power, while I look in to uncover the lessons and guidance from the resident source. As most written teachings note that God is within us, it’s the spoken word from the pulpits that generally guide us to look outward to convene with God…as well as looking down when we pray.

Everyday I forecast and craft plans and scenarios for the days, weeks, months and years ahead. My process includes an acknowledgement of the lessons of yesterdays and past lifetimes…I know better than to get stuck in the adulation related to accomplishments or self-loathing for my missed marks and failures…

Life’s journeys can be distilled into a pyramid-like set of platforms to spring from with knowledge supported wisdom as sustaining wings…

I love looking at my shadow walk as I do love looking up to feel as well as see the light — it’s a matter of balance and choice.

On this day I choose to look up, stay up and rise up to better appreciate myself, as a way of working on my whistle.

ONE plus ONE equals one.
