While all of us desire to stay young forever, growing old is inevitable. And with it comes the wrinkles and old looking skin. However, there are endless anti-aging treatment options you can use to see to it that your skin remains young.
Continued research has brought out many anti-aging treatments to choose from. You can choose to utilize DIY homemade treatments that can be made from readily available items in your kitchen, or you can choose to go the scientifically and medically proven ways.
Some of these treatments are:
1- Cleansers made from rice milk
Apart from food, rice milk can be used as a cleanser. Rice is rich in vitamin E which aids the skin to exfoliate and become smooth. To get rice milk, use a grinder to break down the rice particles into fine flour. You can choose either brown or white organic flour. Once the flour is ready you will need to add some water to make a smooth paste which you can use to exfoliate your skin.
2- Facial masks from avocado and wheatgrass
Avocados are famous for their moisturizing properties since they contain high amounts of oleic acid. These properties help your skin stay hydrated and soft. Wheatgrass juice contains massive vitamins and minerals useful for the skin. Mash avocado and add wheatgrass juice. Use this as your facial mask and watch out for the amazing results.
This procedure is done for the purpose of exfoliating your skin. This procedure removes dead cells and spots caused by sunburn and dry flaky skin. It can be described as a facial scrub. It leaves your skin feeling fresh and smooth.
4. Chemical peel
This procedure works through the application of chemicals which remove the top layer of skin hence revealing a new more revitalized skin layer. Your skin might benefit more from this process if it has brown or dark spots that appear as a result of acne.
In order to achieve effective results, the chemical peel is applied to the skin and left for a certain amount of time depending on the vitality. It is then peeled off. Results can be noted after one to two weeks.
5. Laser skin resurfacing
There are two types of skin laser resurfacing which are;
CO2 Resurfacing: This process works by the use of continuous light beams which are administered in a scanning format to do away with thin skin layers with little heat damage. This method removes scars, wrinkles, warts etc.
Erbium Resurfacing: This procedure removes wrinkles on the hands face the neck etc. With erbium, the surrounding tissue undergoes very little burning. The recovery period is short because erbium has fewer side effects as compared to co2 resurfacing. Laser skin resurfacing can be quite painful. Therefore, you may need to undergo anesthesia to receive this treatment.
Whichever way you choose to go, it is advisable not to over exfoliate your skin. Doing so strips your skin off the good oils hence doing more harm than good.
