The man who tells himself he can’t and the man who tells himself he can are both right. We’ve all heard this one before, right? It is absolutely true that whatever it is we think becomes our reality. Often times we talk ourselves out of greatness before we even have the opportunity to win. It is the enemy within that challenges us the most but when we take the mind over matter approach more often than not we surprise ourselves.

One of my favorite words of wisdom often stated by the late great Dr. Wayne Dyer is, “thoughts become things.” In essence, everything your mind produces transpires right before you in your life. It may not occur instantaneously but it happens. We fail to realize the power of our own mind and how reframing negative thoughts will create a brighter future.

Here’s the thing, somewhere along life’s journey we have grown negative, doubtful, and fearful. The truth is that we all derived from greatness and therefore we can be nothing but great, the catch is that you must believe, live and think that way. Remember, what you’ve done in the past is what created the present and likewise, what you do (and think) today sets the stage for your future.

It is important to note that a mindset shift is not something that will happen overnight. It takes willpower, dedication and trust. Mastering your mind requires avoiding perfection and aiming to change your thoughts one occurrence at a time and one day at a time. Take it at a pace that is comfortable for you and gradually realize your personal growth which will serve as stimulation to continue with a renewed mind.

Here are a few principles I recommend anyone who wants to change their mindset implement immediately.

1) Realize how creating a habit of reframing negative thoughts sets the tone for vibrating on higher levels in all aspects of life

2) Create daily rituals that help you exercise the habit of thinking and acting in a positive way

3) Remove anything or anyone that distracts or deters you from mastering your mind

4) Remain open to feedback and hold yourself accountable to ridding stinking thinking

5) Accept mindset mastery as a life style that requires consistency. Stick with it!

You will be amazed at how changing your outlook on things alters the energy you issue out and in turn receive from others. Not every moment with be rainbows and unicorns, however, you can reinvent your thought process to manifest bigger and better in life.
