Multi-Tasking is Overrated

Even wonder woman says so

You know how you sometimes notice that the cupboard under your sink could use a bit of love … and your cutlery drawer has teeny piles of crumbs, you don’t have the foggiest where they came from … same goes for your pots and pans drawer … and the kitchen floor … hmm … would like a gentle rub down?

But, you say to yourself, “Later. Not now,” because you are too busy multi-tasking: loading the dryer, clearing the table from the breakfast dishes, running the faucet to fill the sink with water and soap liquid, rushing back to your laptop to finish writing an email, all the while thinking about the new client who is coming at noon, the comments on your Facebook page you want to respond to, before you hurry off to the gym, anxious that you may not get as much writing done as you had intended (thank goodness, the Big Guy gave up the idea of shopping for today, the last thing you want to deal with is putting groceries away) …

And then you hear water dripping somewhere … By the time you decide you should quit the email you are writing … and get to the kitchen, you discover that you forgot to turn the faucet off … the counter, the drawers, the cupboards and the floors are flooded …

End of story: The floor is sparkling; the cupboards and drawers — got their long overdue spring cleaning. Optimism is the way to go :)

Friendly Reminder: You’re not Wonder Woman. It happened to me. It could happen to you.

It’s time we take control of our lives.

It’s Time 2 Lead.

It’s time to THRIVE.
