The Co-Founders of Sakara Life Share Their Morning Routines

When you have the opportunity to ask some of the most interesting people in the world about their lives, sometimes the most fascinating answers come from the simplest questions. The Thrive Questionnaire is an ongoing series that gives an intimate look inside the lives of some of the world’s most successful people.

Thrive Global: What’s the first thing you do when you get out of bed?
Whitney Tingle: Set my intentions and visualize my day going well.
Danielle DuBoise: Meditate for 20 minutes…before checking email!

TG: What gives you energy?
DDB: Eating my daily greens, dancing and spending time with inspiring women. And coffee with ghee!

TG: What’s your secret life hack?
WT: Staying hydrated by eating (not just drinking) water, in the form of hydrating plant foods.

TG: Name a book that changed your life.
DDB and WT: You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay, The China Study by T. Colin Campbell, The Microbiome Solution by Dr. Robynne Chutkan

TG: Tell us about your relationship with your phone. Does it sleep with you?
DDB: I’m pretty attached to my phone during the work week, but it’s important to unplug. My husband and I practice something called “Sacred Sundays” every week…no screens, no emails, no texting, no calls, just connecting with each other and being in the moment!

TG: You unexpectedly find 15 minutes in your day, what do you do with it?WT: A quick 15 minutes in our Higher Dose infra red sauna. It boosts the metabolism and helps you sweat out toxins.
