Set an Intention for How You Show Up in the World

While listening to a podcast interview, I heard a suggestion from Dr. Joe Dispenza to begin each day identifying what the greatest ideal of yourself would be. Once you have this figured out, keep that ideal top of mind for the whole day. This concept resonated because I love setting intentions for myself. So I gave it a try.

Of course like many new concepts, I started out the following day with a lofty ideal of how I would show up at work and in my relationships. I over complicated it and could barely remember what I wanted to keep top of mind.

The next day I decided to simplify the exercise and landed on one thing, “I love myself”. This ideal of myself is both simple and powerful. I can feel it even as I type these words.

As you think about the greatest ideal you can see for yourself, remember to keep it simple. Don’t do what I did and overcomplicate it by trying to identify the most comprehensive ideal. Think of something that feels right to you. And if it doesn’t work, pick something else the next day.
