The Only Health Hack You’ll Ever Need

And it’s a super easy one to remember.

Health hacks.

How to shampoo, prepare veggies, moisturize, exfoliate, shave, deodorize, swap sugar for anything.

How to cut calories, chew slowly, visualize, walk, smile.

Floss, boost brainpower, take a shower.

Health hacks don’t make you healthy.

Within 6 months of hacking my health, I was at square one again.

Because the hack is the realization that there are no magic health hacks.

There’s just your health.

There’s just you.

And your moment to moment choices.

That’s it.

It was depressing.

I was frustrated.

I learned.

Slowly.

Painfully.

Learned how to not hack my health.

Learned how to be healthier than the day before.

The only health hack is the self-knowledge, self-compassion, and self-love that comes from embracing a no-health-hack lifestyle.

Being slightly healthier than yesterday is the hack.

By making slightly healthier choices than yesterday.

Micro-choices, nano-choices are the hack.

I’m a human being.

Not a human hacking.

Microstep: Stop hacking today and just make slightly healthier choices than yesterday. Gradually. Remember that you’re a human being, not a human hacking.
