1. Jeff Weiner, LinkedIn CEO

“To receive less email, I try sending less email. Also try to clear out all unread email at least once each morning and each night. Lastly, I don’t send email after 11 p.m. or before 5 a.m.

2. Nikita Khan

“I dedicate a time once or twice a day to answer my emails. I try not to check my emails every five minutes unless I am expecting an important email.”

3. Tony Robbins

“We have 1,200 employees. If I let email dominate me, it would dominate me completely. I focus on what’s most important and I do it a couple ways. We use Slack and Chatter in some of our companies so that the conversations are more fluid and natural, and they’re with the right people in the right moment in time, and it cuts down all the excesses of emails and all the copying on emails with all the people CC’ing it. So anything that’s internal in those companies is on those platforms… I won’t accept email from people in my own companies unless there’s a really good reason for it. We’ve eliminated it for all internal communications.”

4. Martin Varsavsky

“People complain about email, but I am so happy the phone call era is over. At least on email there’s an order. Phone calls were last person to call gets your attention first.”
