YOUR PHYSICALITY DRIVES YOUR MENTALITY.
IF YOU PRIORITIZE YOUR WEALTH OVER HEALTH, YOU ARE IN TROUBLE.
Are you 40+ and tired everyday? Do you struggle to find the energy and motivation to drive yourself forward?
Have you “accepted” this as your reality?
Perhaps you have gained about a pound or two per year since your early 30s…. does this sound like you?
Focusing on business, work and career over yourself and personal health?
Now you are wondering why you are not feeling that great about your life?
Come on! The answer is simple: You stopped focusing on yourself.
You traded in health for wealth thinking it was about one or the other.
Or.. you figured you would take care of you health later when you had more time, money and fame. You are using “achievement” as your permission to back off and re-focus on your health.
Unfortunately, every person that makes this decision to “grind” ends up like a wounded warrior when they finally leave their work coma.
I have worked with high level CEOs and Executives for years-they are all in the same boat when they find me.
Tired, exhausted, passion-less, overweight, unhealthy (blood pressure, heart issues, fatigue) and craving something more.
I have even seen this happen with those in the health professions. Many Doctors, Nurses and Personal Trainers/ Strength Coaches I have met and worked with (that have been in the business for so many years) take their eye off the “health” ball. They becomes victims of the above as well.
Profits can become addicting. Corporate dinners, networking events and entertaining all come with the “game” but they can also derail you rather quickly.
Does this sound like you?
You are definitely not alone. Many high performers are in trouble right now dealing with “health decay.”
HIT THE BRAKES. Hit them hard and fast.
I always say, “Sometimes you have to hit the brakes on your life.”
If you hit the brakes hard, you can instantly make a choice to change. You must decide. Pain often times drives people decisions, but the goal here is to identify you are heading down the wrong road before the “physical pain and irreversible erosion starts.”
It is very easy to get “heady” and overthink leading you into a mental health spiral, but action changes everything.
Taking physical action everyday will realign your body and start to re-wire your system. I have a philosophy focused on a “SWEAT-A-DAY” that allows you to get yourself in gear.
For those that are not yet completely motivated to exert themselves physically, there are other ways to sweat and cause positive disruption in the body.
Using saunas, steam-rooms, hot baths, hot yoga and even sitting in the sun or whirlpool can induce a sweat and temperature change that will begin this positive disruption, actually leading you towards future exercise and exertion.
So many people feel that you have to “exercise” to sweat and create change, but if you are not there yet mentally, that is OK.
Taking my “SWEAT A DAY” philosophy and putting it into play will guarantee a positive result for you.
There are so many therapeutic benefits from stress relief to reduction of muscle tension and pain that will lead to increased energy over time. Energy is stored within your muscles and with higher tension, it becomes encapsulated not released, leading to fatigue.
Spark your physicality and mentally you will start to feel better.
Most Guru’s out there will force you to self-inquire, digging deep into your childhood and developmental years which is the basis of psychology, but this step can be addressed later. It can be addressed after you get yourself going physically. Physical focus initially will lead to immediate results.
I have found that once somebodies body/ health starts to change for the positive, their psychology improves drastically. Self- esteem, confidence and self-belief all improve. As a result, so does life!
I have fallen into the trap of over-studying my psychology and saw a drastic reduction in action. I exchanged action for thought and perceived that as action. The results were a zero. Once action began, results quickly followed.
Take action on your physicality. Take action on your health. Find the balance between work and play. Balance your health equation based on the premise your health is your greatest competition, but it can become your greatest ally.
