How to Get Started on Workplace by Facebook

Workplace by Facebook is an innovative way of improving team collaboration and communication.

Recently, we explained the benefits of Workplace and how it can work for businesses, but how do you get set up on the platform?

1. Start by visiting facebook.com/workplacebyfacebook and click the blue ‘Sign Up’ button

2. Enter your work email address into the corresponding landing page to register your organisation

3. You will be sent a confirmation email with a code to activate your business account

4. From there, the process really gets going — fill in yours and your organisation’s details to create your Workplace account

5. If you’d like to create a specific group to discuss particular projects you can set one up now or ‘Skip’

6. At this stage, invite trusted team members for testing the platform or ‘Skip’ — you can always invite people later

7. You’re set up! This is your organisation’s News Feed. It is your personalised News Feed keeping you up to date of all the people and groups you follow. When you first get to this stage there is lots of advice and optional tutorials to help.

8. This is your organisation’s specific Workplace group. The group is your place to share and discuss files and ideas.

9. Why not try a tutorial? There is lots of help and support available via the Workplace platform so don’t be afraid to give it a try.
