Today is the second day in a /row that’s majorly triggered my meltdowns.

The Greeks don’t seem to understand the concept of anxiety over logistics. The host for our Airbnb gave us a google maps link that was wrong, the server at the tavern where we asked for directions assumed we have a frame of reference for knowing how far 500 meters is despite knowing we’re American, and everyone was all like “you got here, just go for a swim and you’ll be all right” because obviously, we’re over-reacting.

Oh, and also, the rental car was designed for flat city street driving, so the gears shift based on speed and not based on how much work the engine is doing. So trying to drive on super curvy tiny mountain roads with no guardrail was actually terrifying. And mom is afraid of heights and was sitting on the side of the car right next to all the cliffs, so her anxiety exacerbated mine.

To be fair, the roads through the mountains were fine, it was just the tiny rural roads along the coastline (which is still up about 500 feet above sea level, if not higher…).

And then this morning, we’re getting ready for the meditation class, and we find out that there’s a thing an hour earlier that was just spontaneously decided. I don’t handle unexpected alterations to my schedule well at all, and we have to bring chairs and lunch and…
