The Cohort of Three

Thirty years into the future, a domestic terrorist kidnaps two other men of the same build as he and forces them to have plastic surgery so that they all three look exactly the same, and then has all of their memories wiped, including his own, leaving each of them a letter explaining that one of them would most certainly get the death penalty if caught.

They spend the rest of their lives together, running from the law, uncertain which of them is the real culprit.
