Purple Jews — A Tribute Night For David Berman

A fundraising tribute night in memory of the late David Berman takes place on 17th October

It takes place in The Sound House, and tickets are available now from purplejews.eventbrite.ie priced at €15, with all funds raised going to Aware. The poster down below has all the details.

David Berman, pavement hero of the Silver Jews and the comeback king of Purple Mountains, passed on August 7.

He left behind a corduroy suit made of a hundred gutters, jagged skylines of car keys, 50,000 beer cans and a wild kindness.

Paying tribute are Adrian Crowley, Steve Windings, Anna Carey and Patrick Freyne, Maija Sofia, Skelokrats, Eileen Gogan, The Former Soviet Republic, Dudley Colley and a host more to be announced.

Come along and help them to raise another 50,000 beers in David’s memory on the night, and we’ll let his songs sing out in the wild silence one more time.

All proceeds to Aware.
