It’s been a long time: New music from The Redneck Manifesto ahead of their 20th anniversary gig in Vicar Street
The gig isn’t just a 20th anniversary celebration, it’s also the launch gig for a new LP The How — their first in 8 years. They’ll be joined by The Dublin Guitar Quartet and New Jackson:
We’re delighted to announce that The Dublin Guitar Quartet will be performing at our 20th anniversary gig in Vicar Street on November 30th!
Their first ever show was supporting us in Whelan’s in 2002. Since then they’ve become a leading ensemble in the contemporary classical music world, touring the globe and working directly with composing legends such as Philip Glass, Arvo Pärt and Nico Muhly among others. They’ve also performed some of our music alongside these.
They’ve got some amazing ensemble chops, are fond of a looped riff and rarely play in Ireland so this an opportunity to catch something pretty special.
We couldn’t think of a group of musicians with a stronger connection to our history as a band, so having them performing on the night means a lot to us.
We’re very happy to announce that NEW JACKSON will be playing with us at our 20 year celebration in Vicar Street on Nov 30th! We have a long history with David and love his music, so it feels right to have him there to celebrate with us on the night.
Tickets for the gig are available now from Ticketmaster priced €34.20 including fees.
