Dear Users,

The PaLa Release 2 hard fork (upgrade) will be deployed on the ThunderCore Mainnet at the block height 38983200 estimated from 22:12 to 22:15 pm (GMT+8) on 2020/05/25.

PaLa Release 2 Functions:

  • Support multiple proposers.
  • The rule of “Changing proposers compulsorily” is implemented during the term of the same committee to reduce the possibility of a single proposer reviewing a specific transaction on the ThunderCore blockchain.
  • Add a new API of dev_traceTroute to show transactions process from “RPC Node-> Bootnode-> Proposer”.
  • Increase the upper limit of the contract code size to 40960 to support more complex smart contracts.

ThunderCore’s PaLa consensus algorithm, mathematically proven to be secure and unhackable, will greatly improve the performance and throughput of ThunderCore. We will be making upgrades (R1, R2, R3) to the ThunderCore Mainnet.

There may be a short outage during the PaLa R2 upgrade as nodes sync on the new protocol but all data will be preserved. If you think your project might be affected, please contact us.
