The hard fork (upgrade) from PaLa R2.0 to Soter will be deployed on the ThunderCore Mainnet at the block height 57,829,203 estimated from 8:00～8:30（UTC+8）on 2020/12/31.
The ThunderCore technical team has conducted a rigorous test on Soter’s function and stability after its deployment on the testnet 2 weeks ago. It has been confirmed that Soter is qualified to migrate on the Mainnet to fully meet the demand of the Mainnet for better operation.
The Soter hard fork involves public blockchain performance, security and stability, aiming to meet the needs of the rapid development of the ecosystem and DApps on the chain, which helps to achieve the goal of “Improving TT ecology value and sharing ecology achievement. The functions are mainly achieved by the following ways:
1. Performance Improvement
Improve the efficiency of block generation and enhance the network security by measures of removing the fixed gas limit, optimizing TxPool kills queued transactions and distributing proper rewards for proposers and voters.
2. Stability Enhancement (TBD)
Repricing trie-dependent opcodes to make ThunderCore more technical on stability. Main changes are as below:

Increase Random number generator gas cost. Random number generator also uses Sload and SStore, can also increase with the changes.
3. Correct Configuration
1) Proposer switches
Multiple proposers are free to switch.
2) New RPC-API
New API for partner. They can first experience the performance and stability improvement.
3) Optimize DApp deployment
It is more convenient and faster for technology developers to deploy DApp.
