That’s a wrap for the July Hackathon! We received dozens of entries from around the world and were blown away by the business app ideas. See the winners at the end of this post.

We are excited to announce the last of three Summer Hackathons!

Thunkable

The winner of the August Hackathon will receive:

  • $500 prize
  • An app design session with our in-house design team
  • Have their app featured on the Thunkable Gallery

Two runner ups will also receive a $20 prize!

Hackathon #3: Apps for Back To School

The theme for this month’s hackathon will be Back to School. Create an app on Thunkable that can help get students everywhere get ready for school!

Rules and Guidelines:

All Thunkers must follow these rules and guidelines to compete in the Summer Hackathon.

  1. Send a share link for your app to hackathon@thunkable.com by August 31, 11:59 PM PT.
  2. In your submission email, include a brief description about what your app does.
  3. All projects MUST be PUBLIC so they can be featured if you win.
  4. All apps MUST be built on Thunkable X.
  5. Share screenshots of your apps on social media with #MadeWithThunkable and tag us @thunkable.

Grandprize Winner: “4Hire” by Cameron

4Hire — is a job listing platform that connects freelancers and employers. The app helps freelancers create accounts and apply to existing positions. It also allows employers to post job listings and respond to potential candidates.

Runner Up: “Simple CRM” by Dave

The Simple CRM app is a beautifully designed customer relationship management tool that allows users to easily store and access customer data.

Runner Up: “Expeno” by King Reviews

With Expeno, businesses can easily track their income and expenses, which are displayed by a beautiful donut graph. When using this app, please enter your expenses first!

Runner Up: “Quaestus” by Ayush

Quaestus (meaning ‘business’ or ‘profit’ in Latin) is an app that aims to make it easier for employees to connect to both their supervisors and each other. Employees can send detailed self-evaluation reports to their supervisors in just a few clicks and easily report maintenance issues.

Runner Up: “CycleT” by Jarlisson

CycleT is a ride hailing service for motorcycles. Forget Uber or Lyft, CycleT is the next big thing in transportation.
