Meet Conor: Community Forum Champion

Today, we have an 8-question interview with one of our power thunkers — Conor from England!
1. Conor, can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I’m from a small town in England called Cannock. I’m 16-years-old and I study ICT in college.
(BTW Cannock is also the birthplace of Glenn Hughes, the bassist/vocalist from Deep Purple)
2. How did you discover thunkable?
Back in 2013 one my teachers introduced me to MIT App Inventor. I started using the platform for a few years and later switched when thunkable launched.
3. How did you learn to use thunkable?
I basically taught myself. I kept playing around with the blocks and components until I knew how everything worked.
4. You’ve built a lot of apps on thunkable. Can you tell us about your latest app “Pyramid Quiz”?
Pyramid Quiz is a trivia game with over 200 questions. Answer correctly and move up the pyramid. Answer incorrectly and you are redirected to Deep Purple’s Wikipedia page. Just kidding, you start over.
The feedback from the thunkable community has been really great. That’s another thing about building apps on thunkable, the community of users is really helpful. A fellow power thunker named Diego even found a security issue in my game and helped me fix it!
5. How has the ability to build mobile apps impacted your life?
It’s very empowering. I never thought that building apps would be this easy, but it is! Anyone can make their dream app on thunkable.
6. What advice do you have for first-time thunkable users?
Never give up! If you have an app idea you can make it happen.

7. You’re a very important member of the thunkable community! Thank you for always helping and encouraging others. Can you tell us what motivates you?
I’m motivated by helping fellow thunkers overcome their problems. I know that developing apps can be hard and sometimes frustrating, but with the right support you can really build anything. Find me on the community forum and we’ll make it happen!

Money Clicker — You’ve all heard of Cookie Clicker, right? Well this is a similar game, but instead of cookies….it’s money!
Robot Clicker — Same concept….but with Robots!
