On thunkable.com, anyone can build their own mobile apps for Android and iOS without coding.

Every year we highlight some of our favorite apps built on the Thunkable app building platform.

For 2019, we’re proud to highlight a whopping 19 apps!

In no particular order, here are some of the coolest apps built on Thunkable by app creators around the world.

① Veggie Alternatives [UK]

Are you catering the Golden Globes next year? This app could be helpful…

Veggie Alternatives is a vegan and vegetarian food directory created by AYUSH Apps. The app provides users with hundreds of animal-friendly substitutes for different food products, including chicken, cheese, and chocolate. Users can even buy products through the app. Veggie Alternatives has been featured on the BBC, the Huffington Post, Entrepreneur, and PETA — it also has more than 25,000 downloads!

② Tip Trainer [USA]

TipTrainer is an awesome tip tool that allows you to quickly calculate tips, practice different tip percentages, and teaches you the simplest methods to calculate tips without a calculator. TipTrainer’s creator, Darren, also has a terrific YouTube channel where you can learn how to build your own Thunkable apps.

③ Today’s weather, compared to yesterday’s [USA]

The “Today’s weather, compared to yesterday’s” app provides users with a simple description of the weather, in relation to how the weather was yesterday. Instead of just telling users “It’s 60 degrees today”, the app will also provide a helpful reference point. For example, “It’s 60 degrees today, which is 5 degrees cooler than yesterday.” We love this app’s thoughtful features and beautiful design.

Designed by a team at the Laval University Library, the DéambUL app offers digital tours for public art routes that allow you to discover more than forty works of art scattered around Laval University in Quebec.

We were inspired by this app’s mission, creativity, and beautiful user interface.

No objections here! The eCodal+ app compiles all relevant laws and codes for law school students in the Philippines. Information from Supreme Court rulings to legal theory can be accessed offline, and the app also provides a law dictionary.
