Amsterdam, July 1, 2020 — We’re excited to share that THX received a Horizon 2020 grant to deliver a commercially ready integration with Open Social, a community building solution based on the Drupal content management platform.

Funding is not off the table during the pandemic

This isn’t only good news for THX, but for all European tech startups who’ve been the hardest hit by the drop in venture capital funding.

Similar to other startups, we’ve operated in uncertainty during the global pandemic. Early-stage projects can make limited use of support measures aimed at venture-financed companies. By only supporting companies that have already raised funds, governments and investors ignore innovative startups that help build a better tomorrow.

Although funding is not easy to secure, it is definitely not completely off the table.

Investors and financial instruments, such as the Horizon 2020 grant, are still open to projects with great ideas. In fact, Horizon 2020 is still running and available to everyone with deadlines till October this year.

“It’s great that the EU remains open for business and is eager to accelerate startups. The future of payments is programmable money, especially now that more and more people are working remotely using all kinds of workplace apps.”, said Mieszko Czyzyk, THX’s co-founder.

How will THX move forward? Integrations!

With the support of the grant, THX is developing an extension to Open Social, an Amsterdam-based community software provider. Open Social customers include Greenpeace International, a number of United Nations projects, and a thousand additional big and small communities.

Next to this, THX offers a Slack app and a API that allows you to connect almost any app and add gamified incentives for your users. You can schedule a demo today with one of our co-founders.

Notable Blockpool.EU partners include Fraunhofer Center and Frankfurt School of Finance & Management among others

Support from Blockpool.EU

THX has received funding as part of sub-grant #82888 called Blockpool.EU. Blockpool accelerates the implementation of blockchain technology created by European businesses, providing necessary visibility for startups.
