As rebellious as the moon
I am fascinated by the moon.
As a child, I would stare at it, dreaming of going there.
Now as an adult, I know I’m never going to the moon but I marvel at it any time I see it, especially when it’s full. I enjoy learning about its ever-changing phases, its gravitational pull, and the impact it has on everything from the tides to plant growth to the behavior of animals.
But do you know what my latest fascination is with the moon?
It’s when I see it when it’s not common to see it.
As the wisest of people have said, “There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens. Nothing remains past its time. A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to harvest. A time for the sun to rise and a time for it to set. A time for the sun to give way to the moon and a time for the moon to disappear.”
But the moon is one thing that can remain past its time.
