The sun, the moon, and the stars; the trees and the flowers; even mosquitoes, cockroaches, and mice — all serve a purpose.

Nothing that lives is an accident.

The sun gives us light and warmth. Without the sun, plants and humans couldn’t grow. We wouldn’t survive the cold.

The moon lights up the night and helps us tell time. Stars guide travelers and inspire dreams.

Now close your eyes and imagine if all the trees disappeared.

Terrifying.

Who can live without trees?

Trees produce oxygen, something no man can live without. According to the U.S. Forest Service, one tree can produce enough oxygen for two human beings each year. Trees provide us with shade, fresh air, and homes for many animals.

Flowers, too, have a purpose. They not only make the world beautiful. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization, around 75% of the world’s crops depend on pollinators. Flowers attract pollinators like bees and butterflies, which are essential for plant reproduction. If flowers refused to show their true colors or stopped blooming, many insects would struggle to find food which could lead to a decline in pollinators, which…
