Books adapted into movies make a great buzz around the globe. With meticulous direction, deep writing and arresting screenplay, the movies-made-out-of-books always please the audience pretty well. There have been many movies made out of books, but there are a few which leave a deep mark on your heart and soul — compelling you to rejuvenate yourself and your life.

Let’s take a look at some of the Hollywood movies:

  1. THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION

It’s hard to forget this book and its adaptation: how Andy Dufresne, a banker convicted of the murder of his wife and her lover, makes his way out of the Shawshank State Penitentiary after spending 28 years in prison. Stephen King has beautifully brought out many life lessons from this book — being persistent always rewards in the end, thinking outside the box is a necessity for survival, and not being afraid of what other people think of you — are some of his teachings. Though Andy is supposed to be innocent in the murder case, he still has to serve a double life sentence — life will not always be fair to you either! The movie stars Tim Robbins as Andy Dufrense and Morgan Freeman as Red.
