What Are Some Good Books to Start With?

Books are a tool that may let one do a lot of wonders, it can inspire, provide knowledge and values, to learn in an illustrative manner, to feel the emotions that are inscribed as words within the pages. One doesn't just learn from books, it has a strong impact on making a reader go through extremely more than the little corner of the great world one is seated in.

Books have immense power as it can take a person to a different environment and refreshes the mind beautifully.

A quote that summons up the power of this tool completely,

Different genres of books serve differently, and it's one's choices that make it a good book. 
But for the readers who cherish beautiful thoughts and directives, the art of literature and elements that can never fail to be liked when building a book, it counts on the good books.

1. Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway by Susan Jeffers

This novel hits the self-help genre which is highly inspiring for today's world. It's a unique concept of not eradicating fear but to feel it and still manage to do what you are up for. We often get to hear "Don't fear", this does not work as it says as fear stays, the art lies in not letting the fear hold us back. 
It is a good one that would put forth many other valuable teachings one needs to learn.

There are various novels of this genre, another book that needs an introduction that has thoughts that are similar to this one is "Attitude is Everything" by Jeff Keller.

2. Mindset: The New Psychology of Success by Carol Dweck

This novel is a problem-solving guide that puts forward the need to make an unprecedented decision or approaches to step up the ladder of success and to guide one to formulate calculated risk strategies.

3. Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe

The novel illustrates cultural and traditional norms. It focuses on Onkonkwo's resistance to accepting the political and religious changes that came up. 
It takes a deep dive into the concept of one's identity and individuality to be dependent on one's traditional standards, this is where the change emerges.
This novel talks about masculinity and its interpretation, differences that prevail in society regarding language and region.

4. The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern

Zachary Ezra Rawlins, the protagonist had his answers very near, but he was unaware of it, in this novel we see how he saw his childhood in front of him as a spectator. Zachary gets amazed by this discovery. 
The cover page of the novel comprises a bee, a key, and a sword which is an important symbol that drives the whole fictional plot. 
Does Zachary find his way? Is there a doorway that would let him discover his place?
The Starless Sea is a must-read piece as it is beautifully set in an unrealistic, magical, and adventurous theme.

5. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

A milestone by JK Rowling, a novel that is never left when one talks of fantasy and fiction genres. It's a timeless tale of magic, extraordinary powers, determination, friendship, fear, bravery, loss, sacrifice, love, and a fight for righteousness and freedom from darkness. 
Harry Potter has been an all-time favorite for a large number of readers. It's strong characters have led the saga into remarkable literature, the story is extremely moving and highly captivating. Readers get engulfed within the book and find similarities between the characters and themselves, this novel is close to many hearts and is the first book of the Harry Potter series.

"The Lord of the Rings", "Hunger Games" are some other books one may hit to have a great time.

6. Moby-Dick by Herman Melville

If you want to go for classics Moby-Dick will serve you the best. 
Literature was graced beautifully as it has the best literary elements which produced wonderful imaginative history within the book. 
It is an epic piece that is rhythmic and has a lot of vibrancy in it. 
It is something that would urge one to go on and once you finish it will make you pick this again.

7. Legendborn by Tracy Deonn

Bree, a sixteen-year-old girl couldn't call her home to be her's after her mother's unfortunate death.
Everything was ordinary in her life and she was all alone with her grief.
A sudden twist awaited for her which was amazingly contrary to reality. It was mysterious as she encountered a truth that didn't seem real to her, it was a secret society "Legendborn".
This novel is mesmerizing and intriguing and a distinctive piece of supernatural fiction.

Is Bree capable of understanding the events that took to her mother's death?
Will she recognize the power she possesses?

8. Palace of Illusion by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni.

A moving epic that retells Mahabharata in the perception of Panchaali, who is an important character of the great Mahabharata. 
This book unravels the journey of Draupadi from her birth in the fire to changing to Panchaali. It portrays Draupadi as a brave, courageous, and magnificent woman who had a brilliant charisma and fierce attitude. 
This is an amazing Indian novel that has a lot more to serve.

For mythology lovers, Indian authors have had a vibrant series of literature. Some of them are "The Shiva Trilogy", "Sita", "Jaya" and many more.

9. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green

It is a fabulous romance novel that's inspiring and moving. It is a good book for readers of every place and time as it is appealing and subtle. It is a light-hearted beautiful tale of lovers who are each other's inspiration and both are always eager to shower the other one's life with happiness.
This book revolves around a deadly disease cancer, the lovers deal with it beautifully.
Lovable, simple yet deeply felt work by John Green.

10. Far from the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy

This novel is one of the best works by Thomas Hardy.
It initiates his journey of creation of fabulous work with wonderful elements. Drama, love, impeccable satire projected towards social and religious hypocrisy, obsession, and empowerment are some of the themes that are picked up from the ocean of this literature.
This novel goes amazingly well along with the strong characters and makes a good fist of the plot through its narration.

11. What is yours is not yours by Helen Oyeyemi

It is a collection of short stories that played brilliantly with metaphors. It opens with "Books and Roses". It's philosophical and flexibly constructed which lets themes and characters travel in and out of the plot. 
The stories within the book are connected extraordinarily through a key in a lock along with a quest to unlock the mystery or let it stay mysterious and unraveled.
It's an amazingly rare work which shows up a little and at the same time hides it too. 
It talks of being well-unknown and many more ideas that prevail.

Some more recommendations in the form of short stories are " Her Body And Other Parties", "Freshwater", "Vampire in the Lemon Grove".
