material: plywood, polypropylene

Let’s Play explores light through simple materials and construction methods. The construction of the lamp requires no adhesives and all parts are laser cut.

The user is able to adjust the brightness of the lamp by peeling back layers of the free hanging strips of polypropylene and securing them to the top of the lamp. A standard kit of parts becomes a fluid object that a user is able to manipulate.

The fringe like nature of the strips invites the user to interact and experiment with different arrangements for both aesthetic appeal and lighting variation.
