The Hat I Am Currently Coveting

It is no secret that I love to accessorize. It is my firm belief that the way you accessorize can make or break an outfit. Over the years, I have accumulated many accessories, from headbands to costume jewelry to scarves. I am proud to say that I now have quite the collection.

However, there is one accessory category that I tend not to hoard, hats. For whatever reason, rarely am I drawn to hats. Perhaps it is the fact that I often love to decorate my hair with sparkly hair clips or whimsical headbands. Or maybe it is that I love to show off how I worked hard to blow-dry and straighten my hair, which takes some time given that I have relatively long locks. I also tend to put my hair in a ponytail or bun with a cool scrunchie when I am working from home. Regardless, when I find a hat that I fancy, I need to have it because it is unusual that I crave them.

I am lusting after the hat from Kate Spade New York’s latest collection, a black and white polka dot baseball cap, pictured below.

One of my favorite things about the Kate Spade New York brand is how they create the most precious polka dot pieces. Polka dots are playful and feminine, yet at the same time classic with a nod to the 1950s. Notably, black and white polka dot items elevate wardrobes because they match easily with other garments.

What is also great about this hat is the oversized bow in the back. Kate Spade New York is known for a well-placed bow, and this bow hat lives up to the brand’s standards. In general, baseball caps are universally flattering on everyone, and they pay tribute to one of the most iconic sports in the United States, Baseball. With summer not quite over and many more baseball games to go, this hat would be a terrific way to up your fashion game at the baseball stadium.I will be adding this hat to my collection soon.
