New York, NY — December 16, 2021 — Tibles (as in “collec[tibles]”) has closed a $3 million seed equity round led by Cadenza Ventures. Additional investors include Dapper Labs, CoinFund and Warburg Serres, all of which participated in Tibles’ $1.19 million seed round in May 2021.

Tibles’ mission is to grow the market for digital collectibles by making digital collecting as authentic and fulfilling as physical collecting. To do so, Tibles’ individually branded iOS and web apps verify ownership and the uniqueness of purchases using non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on Flow. The company works closely with brands to create digital collectibles that excite fans, attract new audiences, and foster long-term engagement. Their first app, Seussibles, is an officially licensed Dr. Seuss NFT collecting experience which launched in the iOS App Store on December 15, 2021.

The new funding will be used to support the launch of branded apps within the Tibles ecosystem, the creation of secondary experiences like games, AR/VR, and other “utility” focused projects, as well as the development of the Tibles token strategy, which will be announced in the coming months.

Members of the Tibles team — including CEO and founder Erich Wood (“Woody”) — have created some of the world’s earliest digital collecting experiences. They include the 2012 launch of the first Topps mobile apps for collectors of MLB, NFL, and Star Wars trading cards, as well as Quidd, a digital collecting app featuring Marvel, Disney, Rick and Morty, Game of Thrones, Star Trek, and hundreds of other properties.
