More often than not, if you’re selling a ticket on our platform it’s a last minute decision. With the clock counting down before an event kicks off, it’s obvious you’ll want to sell right away!

So how should you best go about it…?

Sharing Your Ticket On Social Media

If you’ve got a ticket for sale and you want the world to know about it, then we suggest you start here. Jump on the following platforms and use that marketing brain of yours to come up with a sales pitch no one can resist. Without social sharing, your ticket is just another, in a list of hundreds.

Facebook

There are many ways to share your ticket on Facebook. If you’re a good friend you’ll give your crew first dibs, we suggest sharing the link on your wall, stories or directly through Messenger.

You can also share a link on the event page. There’s bound to be fans who didn’t manage to get a ticket, eagerly waiting to snap up a last minute opportunity!

Twitter

If you’re more into the Twitter game, share your listing here. Be sure to include plenty of hashtags related to the event, so other fans can discover your ticket. For example, if you were selling a ticket to Ariana Grande’s Sweetener Tour you could include #SweetenerWorldTour #arianagrandetickets #ZiggoDome.

Pro tip — if you’re really in a hurry, you can also ask the official TicketSwap Twitter account or fan account to Retweet your listing. I mean, it’s definitely worth a try!

SnapChat Stories (New Feature):

We’re really excited about this one! It’s now possible to share your ticket directly to your SnapChat stories. We encourage you to get creative, we’ve even got our very own TicketSwap gifs you can toss in to make things eye-catching. Let your friends know it’s up for sale, then all they have to do is Swipe Up and they’ll be taken straight through to the TicketSwap app.

Instagram Stories

With 1 billion people using Instagram every month, someone is bound to snap up your ticket. As with Snapchat stories, it’s possible to share your listing straight to your Stories — again get creative with gifs, stickers and get more exposure by using the event hashtags. If you can’t benefit from the Swipe Up feature yet, ask potential buyers to slide into your DM’s and send them your ticket link directly.

Send A Broadcast Message On Whatsapp

If your head isn’t buried in social media like everyone else on the planet (trust us, it’s probably a good thing), then you can always make a call out to your squad on Whatsapp about a ticket that’s up for sale.

Using the Broadcast List feature, you can ping the same message to multiple contacts at once. “Yo, I’ve got a ticket to Seth Troxler tonight and can’t make it! Who wants it?”. After you’ve created and saved a Broadcast List, you can continue sending messages just like this to the same people without reselecting them. Not bad huh!?

Timing Is Everything

We’ve spoken about the best time of day to sell your tickets in our Cracking TicketSwap piece but it’s something worth reiterating. From 5–10 pm at night, TicketSwap is a frenzy. The vast majority of fans are outside of work hours, planning which gigs to book in and which to skip. For those selling, this is a golden opportunity to transform that ticket into some money.

Lower The Price

There’s an age-old saying that goes “Something’s always better than nothing”. And in the sale of tickets, this could not be truer. If it’s really getting close to crunch time and no one’s biting, lower the price to entice buyers who are looking for a bargain. Think about it, you’re not selling yourselves short, walking away with 25 euro’s for a ticket that was originally 40 euros is a whole lot better than leaving with empty pockets.
