TicketSwap, the safest way for fans to buy and sell tickets, announces its sponsorship of Pride Amsterdam 2018 and will participate with a company-branded pride boat docked along the route at the intersection of Leidsestraat and the Prinsengracht. The theme of the TicketSwap boat will be ‘Heroes of Safety’, with the staff and guests dressed as lifeguards. As TicketSwap offers a safe place for buyers and sellers to swap tickets, the company is ‘everyone’s Hero to help you get to your event.’ ‘Heroes’, the theme of Pride Amsterdam 2018 speaks loudly to TicketSwap’s motivation, and with more visibility and a push for more acceptance, the company wants to contribute to Amsterdam as LGBTI capital of the world.

“We are Dutch at heart, but we also have 30 colleagues in our TicketSwap family from all over the world. On August 4th, we celebrate our own LGBTI colleagues, our international diversity, as well as the diversity of Amsterdam. We offer a safe place for fans to buy and sell tickets for LGBTI events that take place particularly in the week of Pride Amsterdam. We are really excited to celebrate all forms of diversity and inclusion during the parade, as well as on our platform, where we feature a direct link to the Pride events,” stated CEO Hans Ober.

TicketSwap has simultaneously become a member of the Pride Business Club, joining many other notable Amsterdam-headquartered companies who support LGBTI diversity and inclusion in the workplace. This is with the intention of gaining greater understanding in LGBTI events, but also to stand strong as a business for diversity and inclusion. By participating in the Pride Business Club, TicketSwap directly contributes to the longevity of the Stichting Amsterdam Pride.

“We believe actions speak louder than words, so we are really excited to jump into the Amsterdam Canal Parade, and enter the Pride Business Club with our hearts and minds open,” said HR manager, Anouk van der Spek.

The Pride Business Club membership will spin insights into the employer branding of TicketSwap, which, as a rapidly growing company, always strives to attract the best and brightest talent by creating a truly inclusive working environment.

The entire idea of TicketSwap entering the Pride Amsterdam parade started with beers after work on a roof terrace, but one thing I’m certainly sure of, our CEO was dead serious about doing this, and doing it for the right reasons. That’s why I’m proud to work here, but also proud to have contributed to this happening. The reaction from our 80 plus-family has only been positive which says a lot to the caliber of our company culture. Pride Amsterdam, we are ready for you!
