TicketSwap Staff Picks: Making the most of 5 days of party at ADE
From 17–21 October 2018, Amsterdam will turn into one huge rave for the Amsterdam Dance Event 2018.
It’s as if you stirred together all the strands of the electronic music scene into one giant cauldron, creating this massive industry-wide get-together in our lovely city, hosting 2500 artists, 600 speakers, through 1000 events.
Last year, I shared TicketSwap’s ADE Top 10. This year, we wanted to share the TicketSwap team’s going-out plans. Follow them and you definitely won’t be disappointed.

“The best way to start the workday. 6:30 to 8:30 in the morning full of dancing, acts, artists and mindfulness. The group of participants always feel so connected as everyone shows the purest and most fun version of him/herself. Alcohol-free, full of healthy juices, delicious breakfast and in a great jungle outfit.”

“Our neighbours at Rokin 47, Made.com are having a day-time party at their showroom store. So I’ll be sneaking out of work a bit earlier for a little boogie. I just hope they’ll let us sit on those beautiful beautiful couches. Don’t spill your drink!
In the evening, I’ll be hanging with Messieurs AME and Dixon all night at Loveland; naturally.”

Friday… The sweet taste of weekend is nigh… TicketSwap ravers start feeling restless and they’ll sweep the dance floor from 22:00 at various events.
Moment of silence for Audio Obscura events at Bijlmer Prison. Although they’re cancelled, we’ll always remember the excitement they’ve created on the announcement day.
Pim’s Top Tip:
“Friday is my personal rest day (Yes, I’m getting old). But if I was going, I would probably listen to the beautiful SoundCloud music selection in this traditional church!
Alternatively, I would enjoy the artistic skills of Stephan Bodzin at the National Maritime Museum (Scheepvaartsmuseum)! You’re probably starting to notice, I enjoy parties at unique venues. Hope you find a great Friday party!”

Busy busy schedule…
Some of our team members will start the day / won’t let the night finish at The Loft with DJ Tennis and Job Jobse. Some will witness the true capacity of the humanity where Warehouse Elementraat hosts Afterlife for 24 hours.
We also really want to see what Awakening’s official location Gashouder will turn into this year too.

The final day always brings a mix of feelings. Instead of feeling the sadness that inevitably comes with the realization of reaching the end…until next year, we keep on celebrating as long as we can.
Pim’s Top Tip: ADE Hangover
“A beautiful relaxed environment, with unwinding music, cool art installations and great places to hangout like a fireplace and a sauna. It’s a really cosy environment to meet the ADE veterans and hear about their adventures. It’s the only free event I would totally recommend. The vibe is right there. People look back together on a legendary ADE.”
