One of the most common pieces of feedback we receive from our users is that selling a ticket from your mobile device is a bit too tricky…

We’re glad to launch a new feature that will make it super easy to upload your tickets without downloading the ticket to your phone, or storing it in iCloud or Dropbox or Google Drive (although all these options still work).

REALLY?! HOW?

Using the latest version of our iPhone and Android apps you can select tickets straight from your email inbox and start selling in one tap. Simply tap on “Sell Tickets”, select Gmail or Outlook, and give us permission to scan your inbox for tickets.

WHOA, YOU’RE READING MY EMAILS!?

Nope! Our system simply scans the emails in your inbox for ticket attachments to allow you to seamlessly add your ticket file to your listing, and get on with selling in seconds. To do this, we need your permission to access your Gmail or Outlook accounts, since this functionality was built using Google and Outlook’s secure API’s.

We care about your privacy and protecting your personal information so we will only use this functionality to look for tickets, and it’s only active while you are using our app; specifically, when you are in the process of creating a listing. We will never store any of your personal information or emails.

PHEW!

As always, we are striving to make selling and buying hassle-free for fans. This new feature allows any fan to list their tickets from their phone in a matter of taps. Of course, you don’t have to use it — our other upload methods are still available — but it might just help you sell your tickets last minute, and help another person buy them and enjoy the event. We think that’s pretty sweet! To try it out, download the TicketSwap app for iOS or Android now, or if you have it already, make sure you update to the latest version.
