If there is anyone here who has tasted a real, warm, comforting, scrumptious, dripping with goodness and nourishment casserole; would have just upon mentioning, delved deep into the emotions it arises.

It really doesn’t take much to put it together. Almost like collecting different-sized wood sticks for the bonfire… Some from the previous day and some fresh. But when it all comes together, the end result is iniquitous.

Well mine comprised of some leftover rice from the afternoon, sautéed fresh vegetables lying in my refrigerator (sprinkled with condiments that come with home delivery pizzas), a barbecued chicken with its inviting indispensable liquids, bound to ooze when you cook it with various sauces at hand, lying in your spice cabinet. And last and foremost - immersed it all in a cheesy warm béchamel sauce.

Now, back to reality. Can we make a similar casserole with what life is presently offering us?… Dictionary meaning of casserole - a mix of food baked and served in a deep dish. Literally use this to make life comforting.

Throw in your leavings of unanswered philosophical whys(leftover rice), your newly acquired off the rack fundamentals (fresh veggies from fridge), good ol’ grandma tales… marinated and cooked in parental doctrines, always throwing up more theorems than you can handle (barbecued chicken and it’s oozing sauces) and now you dunk all of this into the affirmations, your own soul dissonant, basically your deeply engraved values and general appraisal of attainable gratification of sagacious beatitude.

Now you bake at 250°F for 45 minutes… basically the time you spend on ‘ME’ time each day. There you are, savour the aromas of divine amalgam of the panorama of human spirit and it’s handiwork to make each day a jollification of ephemerality.
