Acting Responsibly, Yet Staying a Kid

As a child I always assumed that there would come a point in time when I would simply grow up. That I would stop petting all the dogs I passed on the street, that I would learn to stop eating ice cream before a brain freeze sets in, and that I would quit stuffing my face with chocolate at any chance I got. I believed that someday, somehow, paperwork would become fun.

However, that day has yet to come.

Becoming an adult does not have to mean that we cannot keep doing the things that give us joy. President Barack Obama is an avid basketball player, George Lucas (director of Star Wars) enjoys feeding squirrels, and Ronaldinho enjoys getting his karaoke on when he’s not busy playing soccer.

Hobbies are part of what makes us, well, us.

We do not so much grow up as much as we gradually mature. Most of us can no longer spend all day playing soccer or practicing Purple Rain on guitar, or collecting rare metal objects with metal detectors.

However, that does not mean that we should not strive to free up time for the things we do - not necessarily because they work towards a greater good, but because they nurture something in us.

It is important to recognise that while time-saving, modern technology such as smartphones, computers and platforms such as TidyHQ help us reach our goals faster, it does not have to entail that we should then achieve more. Rather they can allow us to spend more time on the activities and the people we care about.

Here at TidyHQ we pride ourselves on our mission to provide you with the easiest way to get all your responsibilities in order, so that you can spend your time on the things that really matter to you.

Let’s face it, paperwork will never be fun. But, we can make it quick.
