During the time when Saddam Hussein was alive and president of Iraq, something strange happened at home in America one morning. I do not remember the year but it was in the 90’s. My mother and I were sleeping, and I had to wake her at a certain time. We both woke up about the same time. I do not remember what time it was but I remember that it was in the morning. It could have been about 8:00 or 9:00 am. Whenever we would look at the clock, time did not seem to move. So we would both go back to sleep. It seemed we both slept a long time and were very tired. Still, every time one of us woke up, time did not move. After waking up about two or three times, my mother did not go back to sleep, and I finally woke up after her. Both of us noticed that although time was moving, it did not move the whole time that we slept. The time for television was correct and the world was moving at the right time. However, it seemed as if it stood still for us.

I do not know the purpose for time standing still if it did. Maybe a big war was going to happen that morning in the US because of Saddam and it did not happen. Saddam Hussein was in the news a lot and pretty popular. Maybe it stood still for the fact that my mother and I needed more rest. The clocks made by the hands of man may have its own time, but I believe that God has his own time.
