I have the experience that I accumulated works and try to finish them over the weekend. When I slept too late in Friday night and woke up at noon, I noticed that half day is gone. So, I didn’t finish the works I expected to be done over the weekend. It seems like there is never enough time in a day to finish essentials works that need to be done. we all get the same 24 hours, why is it that some people achieve so much more with their time than others? The answer lies in good time management.

In order to have a fulfilling day, people must have their plans throughout the day. Whenever a new project crosses people need to take the time to think through exactly what they want to accomplish and write out an orderly list, in sequence, of every step necessary for the completion of the project.

Brian Tracy, a Canadian-American motivational public speaker, and self-development author, once said, “Action without planning is the cause of every failure. Resist the temptation to take action before you have planned it out thoroughly in advance” (2014). In other words, it is never a good idea to be impulsive to act on something immediately. People need to think ahead and try to avoid unplanned action. Successful goals need well-written plan to support it.

Some people might think that doing it while thinking might be better. However, when one comes out with a new idea, it often ruins the works that one did before so that restarting the work is needed. Perhaps the most important word related to the success of any kind is clarity. Successful people are very clear about what they want. In addition to written goals, they have written plans for actions that they follow every day.
