Celebrating Time festival and conference is looking for volunteers
Time Perspective Network is currently organizing a conference and a festival about concept of time: Celebrating Time:
It’s going to be a fresh blend of social sciences, visual and performing arts with a bit of engineering. It will run in Copenhagen from August 15 to August 17 and us, the small local organizing team, really needs your help with making it happen!
We are currently looking for social media communications intern, partner communication assistant, media assistant and general event management assistant.
Our future social media communications intern
- thrives while working with the social media
- has a sense of humor and can create funny and catchy posts about boring researchers and not so boring artists
- is highly-motivated and likes to try out new things in the social media marketing field
- is passionate about communicating via different channels
- is familiar with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, preferably Buffer and Conferize (but latter can be easily learned)
- is pro-active and responsive and able to meet deadlines
- wants to work with a small team that is passionate about social research about time and its possible applications
Our future partner communication assistant
- has previous experience with event organization and / or finding sponsors / partners for an event
- can help us identify possible additional partners
- preferably can communicate in Danish with the local organizations
- can think out of the box, come up with some innovative proposals and strategies
- is interested in social sciences, health sciences, transportation issues, app development, arts and design, engineering solutions and can find a link between all those and a few others
- wants to get in touch with local organizations who work in the field of psychological consultancy, coaching, cross-cultural communication, health related app development, etc.
- thinks and acts fast, but is responsible and able to meet deadlines
- wants to work with a small team that is passionate about social research about time and its possible applications
Our future media assistant
- can help us with PR of the event
- has strong hold of written Danish — it’s a crucial factor for communicating with Danish press, the oral communication can be done in English
- either already has experience in promoting events in Denmark and getting press attention or who wants to learn how to do it and therefore expand your network in this direction
- is pro-active and responsive and able to meet deadlines
- wants to work with a small team that is passionate about social research about time and its possible applications
and general event management assistant
- can help out with some day to day tasks related to organization of an event
- be in touch with other members of the organizing team and participants of the event
- assisting in putting the program together
- finding out different details on different issues (there are very various and arise from day to day)
- checking the participants lists
- printing badges and certificates
- putting together welcome information and packages
and similar tasks
It is an unpaid internship for 6 weeks: from July 11 to August 19.
Proper documentation is available — we are registered as a non-profit association in Denmark.
