Queen Elizabeth II is hiring a social media editor, but it turns out some of her predecessors were no slouches on Twitter

Queen Elizabeth II may be 90, but she’s right on top of her social media game. This week, the Buckingham Palace announced it’s looking for a head of digital engagement “to maintain The Queen’s presence in the public eye and on the world stage,” according to the job description.
The queen sent her first tweet in 2014, and has had a Facebook account since 2010 and an Instagram since 2013. But she’s not the first royal to be savvy on social.
