How do others use this skill?
“If you do the most difficult and most vital things first, you avoid pitfalls of interruptions and being pulled in multiple directions later on in the day and you’ll feel accomplished earlier instead of later!” (Prince, 2010).
The writer explains that the way you deal with your time management however that may be, will impact more than just your time but your physical and emotional being, your work, and sometimes even your wallet. The writer gives their ideas of the best way to manage your time and she does this by giving tips. These tips will help you in your everyday life. Some of these tips include knowing your deadlines, turning off distractions, getting up early and doing your work, etc. In other words, if you do the most important and lengthy work first, you’ll be able to get it out of the way, leaving you stress free and more open to other work with less distractions. I agree completely with this blogger because I can base it off of my own experiences. If you have a lot of work to do and something is more crucial then the other, you're going to want to get that one out of the way first so you can spend the most time on that. I also agree with this blogger’s tips because they really do help, and they make it so your not as stressed when getting things done, and help to get work done efficiently and on time.

In my experience, getting the most important task out of the way makes it a lot easier to deal with time management. Although it might be best to get the most important things out of the way first, that can sometimes be very difficult to do. You might be asking yourself, how would that be hard? Its hard because you want to get all the little things out of the way first, but by doing that you’re fatiguing yourself. For example, I had a very big and long accounting assignment due on a Friday at 8 am. I thought it would be best to get all the little things out of the way first so I could focus on my accounting more, but all this did was make me not want to do my accounting even more. Because I did this, I didn't start my accounting until Thursday morning, while still having other work to do, and having to go to my job. I ended up not finishing my accounting even though I was up until 3:30 am working on it. I realized that getting the little things done first and saving my biggest assignment for last isn't the way to do it. Since then, I try to get the hardest or longest homework out of the way first, making it so I don’t have to stress about it and then can feel better about doing my other work. I have improved on this skill because now since I know accounting is usually the most work, I always to do put it first before any other work. To continue to practice time management, and this specific tip I will follow the other tips that I have learned and continue getting the hardest work done first.
