Hello, Time Raiders Community!

Matthew Nagy here, Lead Designer and Economist of Time Raiders.

Dev blog 5: Energy!

The game features several different types of energy:

  • Healium
  • Upgradium
  • Levendium

As the names suggest, they serve different purposes in the game. They are like an in-game currency for the purposes of healing, upgrading, or entering levels that the player gets granted as rewards, or finds as treasure, though the player can also exchange $XPND for them in packs that are more cost-effective than simply spending $XPND to perform healing, upgrading, or entering levels.

Healing Energy

If a Raider is hurt or dies, it takes time for them to heal.

Healing Energy reduces that time in proportion to how much Healium is applied.

If Healing will take 600 Minutes, and you spend 200 Healing Energy, it will now only take 400 minutes.

Healing Energy is Green.

Upgrade Energy

When upgrading a Raider, there is an in-game commodity you apply (experience points, skill points, etc.), and there is an additional cost of 1 $XPND per level of upgrade.

Likewise, when upgrading an Item, there is a recipe of in-game materials you combine, and there is an additional cost of 1 $XPND per level of upgrade.

Upgrade Energy can be used instead of $XPND, with each Upgradium equalling 1 $XPND in the process.

Upgrade Energy is Blue.

Level Entry Energy

When using the Time Portal, it takes a certain amount of energy plus 1 $XPND to power it up to jump to different Missions.

The portal slowly regenerates a certain amount of Levendium hourly, up to the maximum amount that the portal can store (which can increase depending upon your VIP level).

And you can buy more Levendium with $XPND whenever you want, if you don’t want to wait for more the generate.

Level Entry Energy is Yellow.

I hope that all makes sense to you. But before I go, I always like to tell you about NFTs from the INO that are coming in the next beta build.

Another thing that comes to mind for many when you mention WW2 is the Dambuster! The Dambuster NFT allows the player to bounce a bomb into any situation where a big Dam Bomb is needed! Using a targeting reticule, the player aims where they want the bomb to go, and fires. Drop and roll for cover whilst the bomb drops and rolls into the playing field and BOOM! Problem solved!

If you haven’t got yours, there are still some available on Rarible and our own Open Sea page, so go get one before release, and Roll Away!

That’s all from me this time.

Speak to you in the next blog and see you in the greatest treasure hunt across all space and time.
