Singapore, 9 July 2018 — Timetech, the first blockchain-enabled time exchange, has facilitated the signing of an MOU between ACCESS, the Singapore cryptocurrency and blockchain industry association, and the Blockchain Collaborative Consortium (BCCC) of Japan, to foster stronger relationships between the blockchain communities of Singapore and Japan.

The MOU, signed in Tokyo on July 6th, is a testament to the partnership where both parties have agreed to share information about the blockchain sector in each market, and develop opportunities for members of ACCESS and BCCC to collaborate. All parties commemorated this landmark partnership with a blockchain community event in Singapore.

Andy Mankiewicz OBE, Founder & Chairman, worked closely with both associations to form the partnership and will add Timetech to their growing communities post-ICO. Using blockchain technology, Timetech allows all timesharing platforms — charities, non-profit organisations, and corporations with a strong corporate social responsibility mission — to exchange time credits, using Timetech tokens. Timetech will revolutionize the way we spend this time, how we connect and live more meaningfully with each other, transcending nationality, gender, age, religion, wealth and social status, making one hour of service the same value for everyone.

Speaking about the partnership, Mr. Mankiewicz OBE, said: “We are honoured that Timetech can be the bridge between the Singapore and Japan blockchain associations. Both countries will benefit immensely from this partnership by leveraging on each other’s learnings and experience, and add immense value to the blockchain ecosystem.”

Founded in 2014, the Singapore trade body, ACCESS, advocates an open and clear dialogue on behalf of the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry locally. It engages with community stakeholders and regulators to support blockchain technology and cryptocurrency development in a cohesive manner. ACCESS also provides educational seminars and workshops to inform the public about the benefits of the new technology.

Anson Zeall, ACCESS Chairman & CEO Coinpip, said: “We feel there is huge potential for Asia-Pacific to be at the forefront of blockchain development. Therefore, as this technology matures, it is imperative that we strengthen relationships and collaboration with other leaders and organisations in the region.”

Similar to ACCESS in Singapore, the BCCC promotes the spread of blockchain technology in Japan. It was inaugurated in 2016 with objectives that include spreading and building awareness of blockchain technology, promoting its research and development, encouraging related investments, and collaborating with overseas blockchain organisations. It hosts Blockchain Daigakko (university) seminars, and an educational program for blockchain technology, as well as seminars for the general public, engineers and mass media.

BCCC CEO, Pina Hirano, believes collaboration is key to growth of blockchain technology: “It is very important to accelerate the penetration of blockchain without the borders. Together with ACCESS and BCCC, our activities will be wider range and more advanced. ACCESS and BCCC hope we could contribute the new generation of the world’s economy based on blockchain technology.”
