Singapore, 21st August 2018 — Hourvillage, an online social marketplace for time exchange, and Microsoft Singapore have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on the development of a pilot program utilizing blockchain capabilities for the conversion of time credits and to record volunteering activities with timestamping on the Hourvillage platform.

Time exchange is a proven solution that revolutionizes how we spend time, to achieve social and economic outcomes and benefits. This pilot program with Microsoft is a unique opportunity to co-create decentralised assets that will enable Hourvillage to launch the first standardised blockchain-enabled time credit platform. The pilot will be built on the Microsoft Azure platform and will leverage capabilities like Blockchain-as-a-service to achieve a scalable and secure product that can then be thoroughly tested prior to commercial release.
