What I’m Listening To: June 9. 2017

(Titles are Links)

“I’ll Find You”, Lecrae featuring Tori Kelly

Classic Lecrae teams up with the amazing Tori Kelly, debuting a single for his anticipated album.

The Transition of Mali, Mali Music

Smooth, melodic, R&B album by Mali Music. He has a very distinct voice and challenging thoughts in his verses. My favorite tracks off the album are Dolla and Contradiction.

Trilliam 2, Aha Gazelle

This is Aha’s debut project under Reach Records. This is definitely a different, but Aha keeps me engaged with catchy hooks, beats, and creative verses. I’m confident you won’t be able to resist trying to say Twentylemhunnidmillion with him on the second track

Red Couch Podcast

Rapper/activist Propaganda and his wife, Dr. Alma Zaragoza-Petty, literally sit on a red couch and discuss topics ranging from “Hood Politics,” pop culture, and their marriage. A great break from the regular day-to-day journalism/social commentary we are accustom to listening to.

James Comey Testimony

The full testimony from yesterday of former FBI Director Comey to the Senate Intelligence Committee about his interactions with President Trump. Not really one you have to watch. You can get all you need just from listening while you drive, clean, workout, etc.

Act One,Marian Hill

You might be familiar with the single Downfrom this album from the Apple AirPods commercial. The electronic/pop album debuted last year, but the sound is still really intriguing.

Flight Experience: Songs and Psalms

A post from earlier in the week where I highlight some of my favorite songs/albums and Psalms to meditate on while traveling.
