Tiny Factories is a tribe of people supporting each other to establish their creative footing. If you are receiving this in your inbox, it means you subscribed to this mailing list sometime in the past! If you are new here, you can subscribe here.

🎤 Tomo: Hello there! We’ve been slacking off a bit with the newsletter but we thought it is a good time to send one as there are so many updates from us! We hope that, despite everything that’s going on in the world, you are able to find some calmness and joy in your days.

✨ New website design (┌|o^▽^o|┘

It was about time we updated our website! We decided to use ASCII art as the core design material since we really love early indie websites. Using ASCII art allows anyone to contribute their own ideas while keeping the whole look of the website together. One of our members, Jeremy contributed a flying airplane which welcomes you if you stay long enough!

😹 A small and thriving community, but we now have a waitlist…

Our tiny community has been thriving more than ever with active conversations and new members joining us. We have had an overwhelming number of new applications and want to be thoughtful about how quickly we welcome new members. So we now have a waitlist for any new members to join. We feel this is the best way to keep the community cozy and comfortable. Our apologies to all you folks who took your time to fill out our Typeform. If you sent the Typeform in the past and are still interested in joining, there is one new step! Please set up a call with us to meet one of us and we will share a little more about how we work.

🙌 Changes in the direction of the community

We started the community as a free-to-join group, but as we expanded, we realized we want to create a cozy corner for us to hang out, support each other, and our creative explorations. That is why we decided to have a collective piggy bank to help cover some of the group toolings we have and also to help the staff who are moderating the community.

That’s it for our newsletter! Maybe you’ve noticed, but our website changes colour depending on the time of day. So please do visit us throughout the day to see all the colour patterns. Ciao
