One day while Thunderbolt the horse was grazing in the magical forest she heard a tiny whimper coming from a nearby tree. Up on a branch was Nutmeg the squirrel, who was sad because the bigger squirrels had all stored their nuts for the winter.

Nutmeg was so small that she couldn’t carry the nuts off to her home by herself. One at a time would take forever!

Thunderbolt set a basket on the ground and together they put every nut they could find into the basket.

As the first snowflakes fell, Nutmeg smiled with gratitude. Friends make everything better.

Cooperation shows us that working together can achieve more than working alone.
