West Virginia, USA
Funky, eclectic, free-spirited, honky-tonk and energetic are a few words that describe this live music venue in the middle of nowhere, West Virginia.
Tucked away in a small ex-coal mining town is a lively mountain music joint called The Purple Fiddle, where the beer flows into mason jars and live music, dancing, hootin’ and hollerin’ can be heard for miles in the still country night.
You can even stay in the hostel upstairs where quiet hours start at 3am after the band has had an impromptu fireside after-hours session in the living room.
