Tiplr is the travel platform where a community of smart travelers all around the world create and share great travel tips. To date, our talented contributors have created thousands of tips, covering every corner of the globe. We’ve realized just how special and useful these tips are.
To celebrate our community and the amazing tips that they have written, we created the 1st edition of The Best Travel Tip Award. A panel of travel experts will vote and choose the top travel tip for 2018. The winner will receive $1,000 to plan their next great adventure!
Tiplr’s editorial team will spend the next weeks reading through all entries and will choose a group of 20 finalists. Then our panel of judges will choose their favorite. This group will include travel journalists, bloggers, travel marketing experts, our managing editor, and our community of smart travelers.
Tips will be judged most importantly on quality of content. A travel tip is a special nugget of information that you’ve uncovered during your travels. It could be the beachfront hostel you found by accident, the best website for booking ferries, or a practical but little known secret about international travel. Within a travel tip, it is essential to have an engaging, catchy title and authentic, smart information. It is also important to include a stunning photo and an accurate location and category (so other explorers can use the tip).
To enter the contest, travelers should visit tiplr.co/award and fill out the form there. Then they will need to create an account on Tiplr, using either our website or iOS app. To be eligible for the prize, at least ten tips must be written, but there is no limit! All tips that adhere to contest rules will be considered for the grand prize of $1,000.
