Anatomy of the Best Travel Tip: How to Create Inspiring Travel Content

You’ve traveled all over and you have unique tips that others can benefit from. We believe that Tiplr platform is the best way to inspire your fellow travelers and help them find new destinations off the beaten path, while also promoting your own personal blog and content.

1. A tip always contains a good quality photo, something eye catching and stunning. You can take a picture in the moment, use (non-copyright) photos from the web (don’t forget to give credit), from your camera roll or even your Instagrams.
2. Add a descriptive, engaging title. This will increase interest amongst readers!
3. Include as much body text as you need to explain your tip. The best tips are at least 150 words long, but we strive for quality over quantity, always. Add specific info to your tip, like directions, prices, hours and dates, menus, weather, kid friendliness, or WiFi availability.
4. You might include a link back to your blog, or to a restaurant or hotel website mentioned in the tip. This feature lets you send readers directly back to the source and giving appropriate credit.
5. Add up to three contextual tags to help others find your tip. Examples include beach, Italian food, hiking, gluten free, etc.
6. Make sure your location is detailed and consistent with your tip, in some tips it could be an address in others the name of the city or region so readers quickly see where your tip is about.
7. The Country tag will default from the location you add to the tip.
8. Choose the category which best fits your tip. If you’re writing about the best trail to take when hiking, choose Outdoors. If your tip is about visa requirements, put that under Essentials.
9. Once a great tip is published, other users will save it to their suitcases on the Tiplr app! By suitcasing it, they’re able to save it and use it to build their own travel guidebook.
10. That’s you! Make sure to add a nice picture and an intriguing short bio to your profile when you create your account on Tiplr.
