When we started tix, our mission was to build a no-code tool to allow event organizers all over Africa to sell event tickets and collect payments in their own local currency in the shortest amount of time possible. Two years and a bit and a global pandemic ongoing, we’re on a mission to empower event creators to deliver the best event experiences.
We believe great events start with excellent guests experiences from start to finish. We believe the guest’s experience begins well before attending the event and continues even after it is over. tix gives event creators the tools they need to build beautiful experiences. Our products integrate ticketing, admissions, payment technology, virtual venues, and promotion and audience engagement tools to simplify operations and drive sales for event creators.
Today, I’d say our first mission — to allow event organizers all over Africa to sell event tickets and collect payments in their own local currency- is now a goal for our ticketing product. We want to remove the payment and skillset challenges experienced by African creators who want to build stunning event landing pages for all of their events. Ghana, as our second market was always a no-brainer; it was simply a matter of when. So, when the best podcasters in the whole world decided to take the bounce to Accra, we decided to bounce along with them. Okay, that’s not what happened, but the timing aligned very well, so we decided to make I Said What I Said our first event in Accra. Additionally, if we’re testing with people who we had worked with in Lagos, maybe they won’t break our heads if the product didn’t work. It worked excellently, and that’s why we’re able to announce that tix is now live in Ghana!
With this expansion, we will continue to break down the barriers and operational inefficiencies experienced by event creators of all sizes. To celebrate, we are giving a month free of tix pro subscription to all new Ghanaian users until the end of 2021. tix pro is our premium toolbox for event creators.
