Guide: How to Set Up Invitation-Only Events
Setting up an invite-only event is extremely easy with tix.africa and doesn’t require you changing much in the process of setting up your event.
You can also have invite-only tickets that are part of a public event, For example, giveaway winners, speakers, or any other special group that you also want to register for the event in order to have the details of all guests in the same place but they fall in a special group and aren’t paying for tickets or are paying a special price. Invite-only events are available for both free and paid tickets!
- Create your event and enter in the simple details
2. Add a ticket and click the “this event is invite-only” checkbox.
3. Publish your event by clicking the toggle button.
Your event link will not display the typical tix event page that looks like this. If someone who didn’t receive an invitation visits your event page, they won’t be able to register and they will be informed that tickets are sold out.
4. Send invites to your attendees by clicking the envelope beside the ticket type.
- Attendees can’t change the quantity when purchasing/registering for your event. They can only enter in their first name, last name, email address and phone number.
- Attendees also can’t use the invite link more than once
- You can also have invite-only tickets for events where there are public tickets too. For example, if a special ticket class is by invitation-only or you also want to capture those who have won giveaways and are getting their tickets at a special discount or free.
- Your event page will only show the public ticket types as seen below.
