American Idiots, Green Day, have announced a tour in the land down under, and it’s going to be a hell of a performance. Actually, Hella Mega Tour will start in Europe, then head into North America and continue into Australia and New Zealand. If the rumors are true and they are, the modern punk icons will not tour alone, and alternative rockers such as Fall Out Boy and Weezer will also be joining them on tour!

Hella Mega Tour is a gallant way for Green Day to take over the world once more. With concerts on three continents, the tour will ignite the Australian punk flame on November 8th in our beloved Perth at the HBF Arena. The punk steamroller will continue on the east coast, covering Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, before wandering further south in Dunedin and Auckland on November 22nd. Every band that’s on tour has already flexed their music muscles in Australia before, by selling out concerts on their own. This Mega Tour is on just the cherry on top and a showing of how grand punk gatherings are! Expected to surpass any tour expectation, the tour is going to be hella mega fun! Several pogos will ignite throughout the country, and whether someone is pogoing inside the venue or outside of it, it’s all up to them! We simply know Green Day will create an entirely new and vibrant atmosphere in every stadium they rock their guitars on.

“Boulevard Of Broken Dreams” is one of Green Day’s top watched videos on YouTube

The Hella Mega line-up spans over several music generations. From Weezer’s early MTV days to the modern punk of Green Day, all the way to the emo resurgence of Chicago’s beloved Fall Out Boy, any of the bands can reignite the crowd’s inner rebellion. The artist combination couldn’t be any more absolute. The tour announcement synchronized with Green Day’s 13th studio album, “Father Of All..”. You can be sure that Green Day will stick to their guns and play tracks like “American Idiot” or “Holiday”.

You can be sure that Weezer or Fall Out Boy won’t be there to fill in the blanks. Weezer will be touring in support of their 2018 album “Mania”. Their MTV anthem “Hash Pipe” will make its way out, and the once alternative-rock sound of Weezer will send out riffs of melancholia.

Not to point fingers, but Fall Out Boy are the most neglected artists from the entire tour. With an emo staple to their name, thanks to tracks like “Dance, Dance” and “Sugar We’re Goin Down,” they’ll reconstruct the perception of emo-rock in people’s minds. With a punk went pop attitude, Fall Out Boy are a whole different animal on stage. Ecstatic and full of energy, they can keep pace with their tour comrades and break some guitar chords.

So if you’re thinking of ever joining the Hella Mega Tour, you can be sure that you’re going to rage like it’s 2001! It’s going to be a mega thrill for anyone attending the punk festivities this year. It will be a teenage awakening and an expression of the youthful rebellion on popular songs by Green Day, Weezer, and Fall Out Boy. Punk-rock won’t be a thing of the past anymore and will radiate throughout Australia and New Zealand in mid-November. So let there be PUNK!
